6. Arched Stone Bridge

Built in the 1930s by Mr. Kushi, a stonemason who immigrated from Hiroshima, this bridge has withstood the destructive tsunami of 1946 and 1960 and several other storms. The bridge is such a recognizable feature of Lili`uokalani Gardens that it is used as the logo for Friends of Lili`uokalani Gardens, a non-profit formed in 2012 to support this park.
