2. Square Roof Pavilion

A pavilion in this location was part of the original design in 1917. The first pavilions were thatched as was the practice in Japan and in Hawaiʻi. This pavilion was rebuilt in 2015 using ʻohia tree logs from the southern district of Hawaiʻi Island.
